Ashlea House


Ashlea House Residential Home is a stunning stone-built Victorian Villa set in the picturesque village of Callander, offering beautiful views of the surrounding areas. Our large gardens are a constant delight to our Residents in all seasons and we invite them to help with planting and maintaining if they would like.

Ashlea House aims to provide exceptional levels of care in smaller and more personalised care home surroundings, enjoying a relaxed, happy and friendly atmosphere.

Activities are organised each day by an appointed care assistant, encouraging healthy bodies and minds.

All food is freshly prepared in the home and menus are planned to ensure that you have a well-balanced and varied diet. Special dietary requirements are also catered for.

Anyone considering moving into Ashlea House is welcome to visit the home as they wish accompanied by relatives or friends. You are warmly welcome to stay for lunch, evening meal or refreshments allowing you time to take in the atmosphere and meet with our Residents and Staff.

We have 18 single bedrooms and 2 double bedrooms decorated in traditional style where we can accommodate 20 Residents. There is a passenger lift access between floors. There are family rooms available if you require shared accommodation such as a couple.

A nurse-call system is at hand in your room to summon assistance and a staff member will come to your assistance as soon as possible. If you require treatment in your room we will always respect your privacy and dignity. If you wish you can bring personal belongings including pictures, ornaments, keepsakes or small pieces of furniture to add to a homely and familiar environment.

Ashlea House will offer you...

  • Safe, warm and comfortable accommodation.
  • A well balanced diet, which includes special diets for those Residents that require them, whether they are medically advised, or as the result of established preferences for cultural or religious beliefs.
  • Sensitive assistance to those Residents who require help with partial or all aspects of personal hygiene.
  • Appropriate arrangements for the safekeeping, administering and disposing of drugs in accordance with National Care Standards (15). Individuals will be given the choice to be self managing with medication with appropriate support from trained staff.
  • Help to maintain and encourage internal and external activities in accordance with the individual’s lifestyle, promoting well-being and a sense of belonging.
  • Personal privacy which will be respected and balanced against the need to maintain a high standard of housekeeping.
